With such an illustrious history in both amateur and professional golf, it is delightful that Royal St George’s Golf Club goes about its business of setting the very highest standards and an ambition to be the finest of Clubs in a very English, retiring and understated manner.

The ‘Marketing men’ beloved of so many modern Clubs are nowhere to be seen; nevertheless, it would be surprising if the Club does not stage a magnificent Open this year.
