A phenomenal quality of dry links golf is to be found in the Scottish Highlands. Royal Dornoch *(RD); Brora (Br); Golspie (Gol); Tain (T); Fortrose & Rosemarkie (FR) and Skibo (Ski) for its environment, all north of Inverness.
Nairn *(N); Nairn Dunbar (ND); Moray (Mo) at Lossiemouth; Cruden Bay *(CB); Murcar *(Mur); Royal Aberdeen *(RA); all giving fine golf on links land to the south of Inverness and the new Castle Stuart (CSt) near the airport.
The heathland Boat of Garden (BoG) and Elgin *(Elg) and the new Spey Valley (SV) at Aviemore should also be mentioned. Peterhead (Pe) and Fraserburgh (Fr) are still to be played.
I hear good things of the renovated Old Tom Morris’s Askernish (Ask) on South Uisk, Western Isles.
