In the north west of England a great concentration of the finest links courses is found along the Lancashire coast: Royal Lytham and St Anne’s *(RLSA); Royal Birkdale *(RB); Hillside (Hs); Southport and Ainsdale *(SA); Formby *(F) West Lancs (WL) and St Annes Old Links (SAOL). On the Wirral: Wallasey *(Wal) and Royal Liverpool *(RL) at Hoylake while in Cumbria, fine golf can be found at Silloth (Sil) and Seascale (Sea). Inland: Delamere Forest *(DF) is heathland with Wilmslow (Wil), Prestbury (Pre) and Sandiway *(Sw) fine parkland.
Still to be played are Fairhaven (Fh) and Castletown (CT) on the Isle of Man.
